La diseñadora Alexia Ulibarri estará en InterModa otoño.invierno
Después de formarse como diseñadora en The London College of Fashion, Marangoni y algunos cursos de Central Saint Martins, regresa a México en 2008 buscando generar una marca con la cual se identifique la mujer actual. Ahora estará en la pasarela celebración de la moda y el Bicentenario en Intermoda.
After being trained as a designer at The London College of Fashion, Marangoni and taking some courses at Central Saint Martins, she returned to Mexico in 2008 seeking to create a brand with which modern women could identify. Now she will be in the footbridge celebration of the fashion and the Bicentennial in Intermoda.
Hasta ahora, Alexia ha fusionado historias y experiencias personales y laborales con el tiempo, tecnología, formas y todo tipo de materia, provocando un proceso de experimentación, que resulta en un concepto con el que se crea a ella misma y le permite dar a luz su primera colección: Dark Romance.
Busca que quienes usen las prendas de Alexia Ulibarri encuentren una nueva manera de ver una colección. Al rodearse del concepto se empiezan a agudizar los sentidos y se reacciona de diferente manera a los materiales y las formas que la determinan.Cada prenda busca adaptarse a la personalidad de cada cliente y a su cuerpo a través del corte y los pequeños detalles que las hacen únicas y especiales; transmitiendo así el concepto que se materializa al ser usado.
Ana y Gertrudis A/W 2010
Nuevamente los contrastes son la base para gestar un concepto que se traduce en diseño, una idea que se transforma en prendas funcionales y que buscan la trascendencia. Bajo su propio estilo, Alexia Ulibarri crea una nueva colección: Ana y Gertrudis A/W 2010.
Inspirada en las transformaciones que deja el paso del tiempo en la vida de las personas y las define, Alexia Ulibarri muestra que cada etapa del individuo deja ver un ser complejo o simple, perverso o ingenuo, malo o bueno, sin que esto defina la totalidad de una persona ni su esencia.
Ana y Gertrudis pueden ser dos seres que viven dentro de uno mismo, o dos seres independientes que necesitan al otro de referente para definirse, para ser, para reconocer su personalidad. Recordándonos así que uno es en relación con el otro.
Ana es sencilla, transparente, es simplemente lo que deja ver, sin detrás. Gertrudis es elaborada, misteriosa, impredecible. Ambas femeninas, determinadas, nunca débiles.
Esta vez la gama de colores conformada por Negro, Azul, Gris, Rosa y Blanco, refleja la nostalgia por lo que no se tiene, por la incapacidad de ser como el otro, quien define lo más ingenuo o lo más perverso, lo más simple o lo más complejo: lo que nos gustaría ser en cada momento si tuviéramos la posibilidad de elegirlo.
Los elementos utilizados para la creación de cada prenda de Ana y Gertrudis reflejan el dinamismo o la firmeza de cada una de estas personalidades a través de los patrones, los cortes y las formas. A su vez se utilizan plisados, bordados, brocados, piedras.
Ana y Gertrudis, son personalidades que no se traducen necesariamente en mayor claridad, sino en un subir y bajar que se gozan o se padecen de acuerdo a cada experiencia.

Since contrasts are the bases to develop a concept translatable into design, an idea that becomes functional garments and that look for transcendence. So far, Alexia has merged stories and occupational and personal experiences with time, technology, forms and any kind of material, resulting in a process of experimentation, which is a concept with which she re-creates herself and allows her to give birth to his first collection: Dark Romance. She seeks that those customers using Alexia Ulibarri garments find a new way for them to view a collection. By being surrounded by the concept they begin to sharpen their senses and react differently to the materials and forms that define it. Each garment seeks to adapt itself to the personality of each customer and to her body through the cut and the small details that make them unique and special, transmitting so the concept that materializes itself when used.

Again the contrasts are the bases to develop a concept into design; an idea becoming functional clothing and seeking transcendence. Under its own style, Alexia Ulibarri creates a new collection: Ana y Gertrudis A/W 2010.
Inspired by the transformations which time imprints in the life of people and that defines them, Alexia Ulibarri shows that each stage of the individual reveals a complex or simple, perverse or naive, bad or good being, without this defining the totality of a person or his or her essence.
Ana and Gertrudis can be two beings living within you, or two separate entities that need each other as a reference point to define them, to be, to recognize their personalities, reminding us that one is in relation to the other.
Ana is simple, transparent; she is simply what she allows to be seen. Gertrude is elaborate, mysterious, and unpredictable. Both female, resolute, never weak. This time the palette, comprised of black, blue, gray, pink and white, reflects the nostalgia for what is not owned, for the inability to be as the other, that defines the most naïve or the most perverse, the most simple or the most complex: what we would like to be any time were we able to choose it.
The elements used to create each garment of Ana and Gertrudis reflect the dynamism or the strength of each of these personalities through the patterns, the cuts and the shapes. In turn, pleats, embroidery, brocades, and stones are used.
Ana and Gertrudis, are personalities that do not show necessarily more clarity, but in an up and down enjoy or suffer each other according to each experience.
