Presentará en Nueva York su colección para Primavera-Verano 2011 en el próximo mes de septiembre, participando así por tercera vez en el calendario oficial de la prestigiosa pasarela neoyorquina Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. A continuación adelantos de su colección URBAN FOREST/The Spanish designer, Toni Francesc, will present his Spring-Summer 2011 Collection in New York next September, taking part for the third time in the official programme for the prestigious New York event, “Mercedes Benz Fashion Week”
Presentará su colección para la siguiente temporada veraniega el próximo 14 de septiembre, a las 21 horas, dentro del calendario oficial de la exclusiva pasarela “MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK”, donde desfilan de forma habitual grandes figuras del diseño de moda.
Tras 16 años de desfiles en el emblemático Bryant Park, la MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK estrena nueva ubicación para la presentación de las colecciones del próximo verano 2011. El Damrosch Park del Lincoln Center será el nuevo escenario que contará con más de 26, 500 metros cuadrados tras la firma del acuerdo entre la IMG Fashion, entidad organizadora de la Fashion Week, y el Lincoln Center.
Con ello, ésta será la tercera ocasión en la que Toni Francesc participa en el calendario oficial de la “Mercedes Benz Fashion Week”, puesto que en septiembre de 2009 el creador catalán fue seleccionado por primera vez por la dirección del evento para desfilar en Nueva York, siendo muy pocos los diseñadores españoles que tienen acceso a esta pasarela.
En Septiembre de 2010 Toni Francesc presenta en Nueva York su colección para Primavera-Verano 2011, “URBAN FOREST” una colección que traslada los bosques a la ciudad. Un concepto que nos pasea por un bosque inteligente donde nos sentimos más cercanos y en sintonía con nuestro entorno natural.
La madera se convierte en el símbolo de la colección así como del consumidor ecológico, implicado con el medio ambiente y que busca una nueva modernidad basada en la reutilización de elementos naturales.
“Urban Forest” es una colección tan versátil como la madera que según su tratamiento puede ofrecer la cara más natural, como vemos en las cortezas de los árboles, o a su vez la parte más elaborada, como la madera tallada y modelada. Prendas que muestran un juego de formas toscas y envolventes con otras de volúmenes limpios, líneas rectas y suaves.
La gama de colores es extraída de paisajes naturales donde predominan tonalidades neutras como beiges, blancos y grises que contrastan con puntos de luz en tonos amarillos, turquesas y corales.
Los tejidos tienen su propio lenguaje orgánico y las prendas mezclan fibras naturales como el lino, el algodón y la seda aportando textura y vida a las prendas. Más información en: www.tonifrancesc.es

Toni Francesc will present his collection for next summer on 14th September, as part of the official programme for the exclusive event known as “MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK”. This event habitually features the participation of a number of leading figures from the world of design.
After 16 years at the emblematic Bryant Park, on this occasion MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK will be staged at a new venue in order to present the new collections for Spring-Summer 2011. Damrosch Park at the Lincoln Center will provide the new setting, featuring a venue measuring more than 26,500 m2, following an agreement signed by IMG Fashion, the body that organises Fashion Week, with the Lincoln Center.
This will be the third time that Toni Francesc has formed part of the official programme at “Mercedes Benz Fashion Week”, given that in September 2009 the Spanish designer was chosen to take part at the New York Show for the first time. In fact, very few Spanish designers having been offered the opportunity to gain access to this fashion event.
In September 2010, Toni Francesc will attend the New York event with his Spring-Summer 2011 Collection known as “URBAN FOREST”, a collection that transfers a forest-based concept to a city environment. This concept leads us through an intelligent forest in which we feel closer and more in touch with our natural surroundings.
Wood will become the symbol of this collection, as it has for the eco-friendly consumer, one who is committed to the environment and seeks to achieve a new and modern appeal based on the recycling of natural elements.
“Urban Forest” is a collection that is just as versatile as wood itself. In this respect, depending on its treatment, wood can present its most natural dimension – as witnessed in tree bark – or its most elaborate side, including carved and moulded wooden forms. The Collection’s clothing items present a series of rough and enveloping forms combined with other cleaner volumes and straight, milder lines.
The range of colours derives from natural landscapes, based on a predominant use of neutral shades such as beige, white and grey, tones that contrast with flashes of light in the form of yellow, turquoise and coral.
The materials employed boast their own organic language, based on combinations of natural fibres such as linen, cotton and silk, thus endowing these clothing items with texture and a sense of life.
